6 things NOT TO DO when vaping

Number 1. Do not vape around other people.

In general, it is best to avoid vaping in private businesses, restaurants, or bars unless explicitly told otherwise. Many people vape in their homes, as vaporisers do not leave a lingering smell in a room like tobacco products. In social situations, it is best to ask those around you if they mind if you vape. While vaping is becoming more and more popular, there are many people who are unfamiliar with the concept. Studies have shown that second-hand vapour poses no health risks, but many people may be unaware of this and get upset if you vape around them.

Number 2. Do not use dirty coils

An uneven, black, sticky substance that builds around your heating component can hinder cloud production, flavour production, and even scorch the cotton resulting with dry hit. Why you have it? Most of the time the black gunk that coats your coils comes from a build-up of various sweeteners in the e-liquid. Most companies that provide e-liquid use pure sucralose as sweetener. These sugars stick and burn to the coil over time, building up and creating that troublesome gunk. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to return to a smooth even flavour! The most effective way is to simple replace the coils all together. This will fix any missing flavours or burnt tastes most of the time! You should replace your coils every week to two weeks depending on your vaping habits.

Number 3. DO NOT vape the same e-juice all the time.

It’s a commonly known fact that smell accounts for up to 70% of perceived flavour. And the olfactory sense loses its perception to an aroma the longer it’s exposed to it. If you’re vaping the same flavour all the time, eventually it’s going to be less vibrant than it originally was. You will kind of feel it's losing the taste. If you want to fight flavour fatigue, switch it up a little bit. Use this as an opportunity to experiment with flavours you don’t normally vape. Take a break from your all day vape, you can always come back to it later.

“Vaper’s tongue” effect happened when you unexpectedly lose the ability to taste vape juice. This is a nearly universal phenomenon, as most vapers will experience it from time to time. It typically lasts for 1-3 days, but can persist for up to a full two weeks without being able to taste your vapes. Simple ways to get rid of vapers tongue? Drink more water, cut back on caffeine, alcohol and smoking, clean your tongue, switch juices, try a mentholated or cooling flavour.

Number 4. Do not vape nicotine if you really don't need to.

If you are using non-nicotine juices, you will not get addicted, simple as that. One of the best parts of vaping is the user ability to choose the nicotine strength in e-juice. And zero nicotine is an option too! Plenty of vapers begin vaping with the goal of going down with nicotine doses until they reach zero. Some continue vaping without nicotine even after weaning off. Even there are vapers that have never used nicotine at all. Remember that nicotine is a highly addictive substance.

So, if you are not one of the people who have just decided to quit smoking - just use zero nicotine e-juice, which is non-toxic, no addictive and taste better.

Number 5. Do not discharge your batteries over and over again.

Keeping your batteries charged are good for your device. As you use your vape kit, the battery lifespan degrades slightly with every charge cycle. This happened to all lithium ion batteries. After 200 charging cycles your battery capacity will degrade by 20%. The biggest killer for every battery is heat and cold, so it is better to avoid extreme temperatures. Also try to not drain your e-cig battery all the way to 0% or charging it all the way to 100%. Lithium ion batteries are happiest if you keep them above 20% capacity and below 90%. To be extremely precise, they’re happiest around 50%.

Why keeping your battery is important? Even before the batteries are empty, you may notice that the vapour produced by your device will also become weaker. This can lead to a lower dispersion rate of nicotine, and you can begin to feel withdrawal symptoms. A solution to this is to keep your charger on you as much as possible. This will ensure that your device is consistently performing at its optimal level.

Number 6. Do not buy mod without research.

If you would like to quit smoking or you just need to upgrade your device and wondering what vape kit you should buy? Things can get confusing pretty quick and you don’t want to be bombarded with a long list of products. It is important to get the right research at this step, otherwise you will end up with a bad vape mod in your hands, lose your money and you will hate vaping.
